IN HER WORDS: FORMER GIRLFRIEND OFFERS BRIEF THOUGHTS AFTER “NIGHTMARE” EXPERIENCE DATING DAN PRICE

It has taken a while for me to write this, because I’ve done my best (through a mix of therapy and a little bit of compartmentalization) to block this man out of my brain.

During the time I spent with Dan, he recorded us having sex on more than one occasion without my consent. I asked about the filming and was worried about where it would end up — I’ve never had someone do this to me before.

He responded, seemingly annoyed… “I protect $10 billion dollars” and then shut down the conversation.

The next time it happened (that I know of), he put the phone in my face and said “Look, it’s you.” I was disturbed but tried to assume it wasn’t out of malice.

Dan consistently played mind games with me, taking me through a roller coaster of emotions. Cuddling me at night. Being cute in front of people with me. Then [delivering] back-handed comments when nobody was around.

On numerous occasions, he would state — out of the blue — that he had “really powerful friends,” which I now see as a threat rather than someone trying to impress me.

Dan broke into my iCloud, which I didn’t piece together until the last night I saw him. When he started to vaguely reference things he knew — that didn’t come from me telling him — I started to panic.

He exclaimed, “You want to know my ex girlfriend?!” Then he showed me a photo he looped of her in Mexico, getting hit in the face by a tiger. Something he found hysterical. He told me he almost sent it to her brother.

In the same breath, he called me possessive but also said I need to be on a tight and short leash — using his new dog as an example.

I had no interest in explaining myself or hearing him out as he attempted to gaslight me. My body was shaking and my heart was racing. My fight or flight response activated.

Dan said that I shouldn’t be driving in this state and at first suggested getting into the pool. When I pieced together what was happening, I waited until his back was turned to run from his house.

Then six months or so later he messaged me on Instagram, saying that he cared about me, hated how things ended, wondered if we could talk.

It was further proof that Dan does not live in reality but the reality he creates in his mind, which is using people, manipulating people.

NOTE: There is much more to this story that Hundred Eighty Degrees eliminated in order to protect her from potentially further harm, similar to other victims.
